Role

Every year, AlSalam Bank reintroduces Danat - a prize-linked savings product - with a higher prize-draw scheme to attract new customers and compete with other banks.

This time, the ambition goes further: compete not just on prize value, but on experience. The goal is to give customers a clear, engaging, and rewarding view of their savings and to make the bank's offering genuinely compelling from the moment they open the app.

Context

This case study focuses on modernizing AlSalam's application interface and launching an enhanced Danat product experience, addressing both the channel and product layers simultaneously.

Purpose

  • Modernize the application interface with a cohesive design direction, including an updated Information Architecture, visual language, and interaction patterns.

  • Strengthen customer engagement and outreach through better journeys, smarter touchpoints, and products that communicate their own value.

  • Improve clarity and transparency to help customers understand their savings, their spending habits, and what each product offers.

  • Introduce gamification and rewards to drive engagement, build saving habits, and create added reasons to stay.

  • Ensure scalability, accessibility, and responsiveness across the product surface.

Focus

This case study does not represent AlSalam Bank's vision or official strategy. It is developed for educational and portfolio purposes only, and grounded in customer feedback and global trends.
